Since we dutifully bring you a TGIF cocktail recipe every Friday, it’s only fair that we help you with a tonic for the following morning.

‘Mercy’, a hangover prevention antioxidant and vitamin supplement is the best cure of the morning after regrets we’ve found (and we’ve done some serious research.)

It’s simple really:  Mercy is packed with amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants, electrolytes and herbal supplements that work together to help effectively eliminate toxins produced in the body when alcohol is consumed.  You’ve tried that you say? Not in this unique blend.

Figure that your  hangover is a chemical process. Just having one glass of wine or one shot of tequila results in your body producing a nasty toxin called acetaldehyde – which is considered 30 times more dangerous than alcohol itself. That’s where Mercy comes in. It kicks your body’s natural defenses into high-gear to rid your body of acetaldehyde.

We tried making Mercy part of the night, like a Red Bull chaser kind-of-thing (the recommendation is one for every three to five drinks) but you can also just have a can as your last beverage of the night.

The taste isn’t bad; a light citrus flavor, but we mixed it with great vodka (Belvedere) and it was delicious. (It is also available in Ginger Lemongrass and Blood Orange.) Sadly, it’s not available in any LA hotels , nightclubs or stores yet but here’s the link to the online shop. $14 for a 4-pack of 8.4oz cans.

Here’s some handy recipes in case you want to make Mercy part of your evening.
