In a surprise move, Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” won song of the year, when most were betting on Lady Gaga’s ‘Shallow’ from the hit movie, ‘A Star is Born.’ ‘This is America’ also made history as the first time a rap song has won song of the year. According to Grammy officials, Childish Gambino refused to perform at the awards and was also a no-show to pick up his award.
