In Southern California, the Sand Fire has scorched more than 37,000 acres and is still only 25% contained. Horrific photos show the flames devouring homes and forcing residents to flee. Ash continues to rain down as far away as Hollywood. A combination of temperatures of over 100 degrees, windy, hot winds and a five-year drought, has resulted in some of the worst fires the State has ever seen.
