You think they would have learned after Panda-gate. Remember the zoo in China that dyed dogs black and white to look like Pandas? Outraged zoo goers demanded refunds and they story zipped around the Internet.
Now, the same zoo is accused of dying two dogs black and orange to look like tigers. (Those are actually Chow Chows, as you can see.)
“They definitely don’t dare to bathe their dogs for fear of discoloration,” quipped someone online after visiting the zoo in Taizhou.
Later, the zoo was forced to confess that the animals were dyed as “a gimmick” but assured that the dogs had no health risks since they used natural dye.
When the zoo was initially asked why they dyed dogs to look like pandas, the zoo responded, “There are no panda bears at the zoo, and we wanted to do this as a result.”
