The Chengdu Snow Village project in Sichuan province tried to entice visitors to its winter wonderland with promo photos of log cabins blanketed in snow.
But it turns out the ‘snow’ was actually large sheets of cotton and wisps of cotton batten strew on the ground.
Angry visitors posted photos of the sad village, with even white bedding used to look like snow. The Snow Village issued an apology on social media, blaming the fiasco on the unusually warm weather in the region.
