The search for Nancy Guthrie intensified this week as investigators announced an increase in the reward being offered for information leading to her whereabouts, signaling renewed urgency in a case that has gripped the community for weeks.

The FBI has increased the reward from $50,000 to $100,000.

Meanwhile, the FBI has released more information about the person seen on surveillance video outside Nancy Guthrie’s home and gloves that have been recovered by authorities.

“The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9” — 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack,” the FBI shared in the post, adding that they hope this updated description will help concentrate the many public tips they have been receiving.

Family members, speaking briefly outside a command post, urged the public not to lose focus. They said the increased reward reflects both their determination and the growing support from strangers who have rallied behind them. “We just want Nancy home,” a relative said, asking anyone with information to contact authorities immediately.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact local law enforcement or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers. Authorities said the enhanced reward will remain in place until credible information leads to a breakthrough in the case.
