As expected, at Trump’s speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, he explained he ‘won’t use force’ to take Greenland (after saying the exact opposite on home soil).
“Unless I decide to use excessive strength and force where we would be frankly unstoppable. That is the biggest statement I’ve made. I don’t want to use force, I don’t have to use force, I won’t use force,” he said.
During the speech, he did take the opportunity to harshly criticize Europe, saying the continent was “unrecognisable” due to immigration and ratcheting up the tension between the US and the EU.
And in case that wasn’t enough, Trump underlined his comments by adding:
“I love Europe, and I want to see Europe go good, but it’s not heading in the right direction,” citing “increasing government spending, unchecked mass migration and endless foreign imports.”
‘Go good?’
