The ever-svelte Jennifer Hudson celebrated the release of her new album, ‘JHud’ on the rooftop of the Gramercy Park hotel, hosted by GILT City and Gevalia Kaffe (who make those great commercials.)
The Oscar-winning vocalist played the first singles, “Dangerous” and “It’s Your World.” She told us that ‘Dangerous ‘ is one of her favorite songs to sing off the new album, as well as “Moan,” which pays tribute to her mother’s advice ‘to always see the positive all of life’s situations.’
The sold out event donated all proceeds to The Julian D. King Foundation in honor of Hudson’s late nephew, which collects and distributes school supplies and Christmas presents for children of all backgrounds.

‘I was so excited to work with him again. Where we connect is we both have a love of old-school music. He’ll come in with a track and then I’m like, “I already know where I’m going with this. I feel you.'”
