Celeb hair stylist Mika Fowler and master colorist Toyomi Ishikura took this girl from drab to fab, with a little highlights and a whole-lotta cut and styling. (Ok, she wasn’t actually a kitchen mouse to start, but check out the BEFORE and AFTER! )
We asked the lovely Mika (pictured below on the left) what she set out to achieve with the cut and style:
“She had just very long hair with almost no layers which look so heavy on her. It just made her face long and flat. So I gave her a textured dry cut to create and young and fun look, and aded full layers to give her hair more movement and softness. Since she’s just 21 I tired to make it young and fresh – a soft casual style.”
For colorist Toyomi , she wanted to get rid of the brassy red-tone hair color, which made the models’ “skin look sallow.”
“I gave her a ‘Sombre’ (soft ombre),” she told us. ‘ I wanted to make her look brighter naturally. She has beautiful olive skin. So my goal for her color was to make her skin look clear and brighter. I gave her blonder hi-light and make her look brighter and healthier.”
