It was supposed to be a luxurious ocean-side festival with performances by Blink 182 and others in the Bahamas, with packages costing up to 10 grand. Instead, early arrivals were greeted with unfinished tents, looting, and feral dogs. The organizers hastily canceled the ‘experience’ festival.
“The festival is being postponed until we can further assess if and when we are able to create the high-quality experience we envisioned,” the Fyre Festival “team” wrote in a statement on the event’s official website. “We ask for everyone’s patience and cooperation during this difficult time as we work as quickly and safely as we can to remedy this unforeseeable situation.”
Maybe the festival goers shouldn’t have paid attention to models and so-called ‘influencers’ who were PAID to post about the event.
