Trump tweeted Thursday morning that he will meet with North Korean’s Kim Jong-un on June 12 in Singapore.

‘We will both try to make it a very special moment for World Peace!’ Trump said of the meeting with Kim where he hopes to negotiate the denulcearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Trump went on to say:

‘This is what people have been waiting for for a long time. Nobody thought we could be on this track in terms of speed,’ Trump said of nuclear summit with Kim that he said would be announced in short order now that the detainees were home.

‘I’m very honored to have helped the three folks. They’re great people,’ he said. ‘It’s a great honor. But the true honor is going to be if we have a victory in getting rid of nuclear weapons.’
