Trump is set to visit the UK on Friday 13 July, the White House has confirmed.

But the trip has been downgraded to a ‘working trip’ as opposed to a full state visit which would have meant addressing the parliament, not to mention a visit with the Queen.

After huge public opposition to the visit as well as  MPs stating Trump should not be given the opportunity to address parliament, it was the only way the US President could have talks with PM Theresa May.

Trump has also clashed publicly with London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan, who has said the president’s visit would be hampered by mass peaceful protests and that Trump’s values were the polar opposite of Londoners’.
