Trump mocked the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, which he didn’t attend and even the WHCA president Margaret Talev, apologized:

‘Last night’s program was meant to offer a unifying message about our common commitment to a vigorous and free press while honoring civility, great reporting and scholarship winners, not to divide people,’ Talev said.

‘Unfortunately, the entertainer’s monologue was not in the spirit of the mission.’

Michelle Wolf.

If you missed it, here’s your recap.

Comedian Michelle Wolf’s went after members of the Trump administration which in itself is not a surprise but some of the jokes were criticized as going too far. And no matter what you think of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, it was cringe-worthy to watch her on the dais, just a few feet away, as Wolf ripped into her.

For example:

‘I have to say I’m a little star-struck, I loved you as Aunt Lydia in “A Handmaid’s Tale.” Mike Pence, if you haven’t seen it you would love it,’ said Wolf, turning to Sanders.

‘I like Sarah, I think she’s really resourceful. She burns facts and uses the ash to create a perfect smokey eye,’ she said. ‘Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s lies.

‘I’m never really sure what to call Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Is it Sarah Sanders? Is it Sarah Huckabee Sanders? Is it Cousin Huckabee? Is it Aunt Huckabee Sanders?’

‘What’s “Uncle Tom” but for white women who disappoint other white women? Ah, I know! Aunt Coulter!’

Some in the audience laughed while others gasped.

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski, for example, tweeted: “Watching a wife and mother be humiliated on national television for her looks is deplorable. I have experienced insults about my appearance from the president. All women have a duty to unite when these attacks happen and the WHCA owes Sarah an apology.”

President Trump was the main target, however:

‘Like a porn star says when she’s about to have sex with a Trump, let’s get it over with,’ Wolf said to open the act. ‘You know he’s not any good.’

‘It’s 2018 and I am a woman so you cannot shut me up. Unless you have Michael Cohen wire me $130,000,’ said Wolf, referencing the Stormy Daniels controversy. ‘You can find me on Venmo under my porn star name: Reince Priebus.’

With all the controversy boiling over online Monday Morning, even some Liberals are saying the comedian went too far.
