A much-loved football coach at the Florida High School jumped in front of his students to shield them from bullets in yesterdays horrific school shooting which claimed the lives of 17 young people.

One of the high schoolers tweeted this about their coach, Aaron Feis:

‘Rather than talk about the coward shooter, meet Aaron Feis, football coach & security guard at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS. He stepped in front of many students to protect them from bullets. #hero #Parkland

Geography teacher Scott Beigel also died a group of students from bullets.

On GMA this morning, Kelsye Friend sobbed as she recounted the day, saying ‘I am alive today because of him.’ The hero teacher opened the door to his classroom at the last minute to let her and some friends into safety but was shot by Nikolas Cruz as he tried to lock the door. Since his body blocked the doorway, the killer couldn’t see the students hiding inside.
