If you have conveniently forgotten where last years tankini went, here’s your excuse to buy a new suit. Miami was the hotspot for everything new in swimwear last week, with fabulous runway shows and skinny models in barely-there fabric. One standout; The Tori Praver Resort collection.
The designer, mindful that not everyone who wears a bikini is 18, announced a new range of coverage for bottoms this season, ‘appealing to an audience of both youthful and mature customers.’ Thank you.
And since swimsuit is high-fashion, the designer also tells us that she took her cue ‘from Greek architecture, tiles and stunning white ocean rocks, evoking the feeling of a whimsical European vacation.’ We’d love one of those whimsical European vacations, wouldn’t you? Our old suit was more of a ‘backyard BBQ pool party’ vibe.
‘ Complementing the dreamy aesthetic of the Resort collection is a line of ready-to-wear pieces inclusive of beach ready rompers, overalls, maxis and breezy separates.’ That’s what we got from the new line too –‘ a dreamy aesthetic.’ Kinda like we’re dreaming if we think we can fit into one of those bikinis.
