The Puglia region in Italy is the new hot spot, with luxury hotels, spectacular beaches , famous white stone architecture and of course, amazing food and vino.
The family-owned hotel group, San Domenico Hotels, known for the Borgo Egnazia hotel in the region (the site of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s 2012 wedding) are opening a new luxury property in Ostuni, also known as the ‘white city,’ Italy in March 2016.
Staying true to the architecture of the region, the reclaimed masseria or “farmhouse,” features whitewashed exposed brick, antique furnishings but with all the modern amenities such as LED TVs, and Wi-Fi.
The masseria will offer guests ‘rustic yet contemporary rooms’, a beautiful garden set among orange groves and olive trees, two outdoor pools located in its courtyard, and one of Puglia’s only vegetarian restaurants.
Highlights of the new hotel will include:
12 rooms and 7 suites will feature whitewashed exposed brick, antique furnishings, luxurious linens, LED TVs, and Wi-Fi.
- Elements of ancient Apulian architecture, including a traditional trullo (a conical hut made of dry stone) in the main reception area and an antique olive mill and press
- A beautiful garden, with an arched pergola, ideal for destination weddings and events.
The hotel’s restaurant, Le Carrube, a market-driven vegetarian and vegan restaurant, will offer a seasonal menu utilizing the freshest local ingredients grown on the property or nearby
