If you caught Donald Trump at the Republican convention arriving like a rock star in a sea of spotlights, you might have recognized the anthem-type song  that played him in —  Queen’s 1977 classic track ‘We Are the Champions.’

Despite a request by Queen guitarist Brian May to stop using the band’s song at his rallies, Trump continues to use the band’s music.

May went on to say, ‘We are taking advice on what steps we can take to ensure this use does not continue. Regardless of our views on Mr Trump’s platform, it has always been against our policy to allow Queen music to be used as a political campaigning tool.

‘Our music embodies our own dreams and beliefs, but it is for all who care to listen and enjoy,’ he added.
