Jamie Dornan looks positively swoon-worthy as he graces the cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly with Dakota Johnson, with the pair in character as the Fifty Shades of Grey leads, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
Despite having some major hiccups in the orignal casting (“Sons of Anarchy” star Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the lead role shortly after he was picked ), the movie adaption of E.L. James’ popular erotic trilogy seems to finally be coming together.
And Dornan, a former Calvin Klein model, is more than ready for the challenge and resulting fame that lies ahead.
“There was a slight fear. But beyond anything else, I was really f—ing excited,” the 31-year-old hunk tells EW of taking on the role.
Thankfully for all of us out there, he has no problems with becoming the object of scores of women’s fantasies.
“I’m a fairly worldly guy,” he told the magazine. “I grew up in a very liberal place. I’m not saying we had a playroom, but I’m not shocked by [the sex in the book]. It’s essential to tell the story. I can’t believe films that don’t invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me.”
Sadly, however, Dornan is very much off the market — he’s currently expecting his first child with his wife, singer Amelia Warner.
Filming for the flick starts in Vancouver on Dec. 2, according to EW. However, the initial August 2014 release date on the Sam Taylor-Johnson flick has been pushed back to Valentine’s Day weekend, Feb. 13, 2015.
