Gregg Allman who founded The Allman Brothers Band with his late brother, Duane, has”passed away peacefully at his home in Savannah, Georgia,” according to a statement on his official website. Famous for hits like “Midnight Rider,” “Melissa” and  “Whipping Post,” Allman battled multiple health issues over the years, including a liver transplant is 2010 after being diagnosed with hepatitis C in 1999.
