The simple two words, ‘Me too’ has taken over Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram today, prompted by actress Alyssa Milano, who on Sunday night suggested that women write “me too” if they’d been the victim of sexual harassment or sexual assault.

“If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote ‘Me too’ as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude of the problem,” she wrote. Coming on the heels of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, the response has been immense as women post ‘me too’ on their social media accounts.

Hopefully, this is a wake-up call.
