For the first time, host Kelly Ripa addressed the allegations of sexual harassment being made against Ryan Seacrest on ‘Live With Kelly and Ryan’ on Thursday.
Seacrest had already been cleared of any wrongdoing after a stylist made claims against the genial host, but they surfaced again this week, coincidentally just before the E! host is about to cover the Red Carpet at the awards ceremony. The popular host has maintained that the stylist is just looking for a big payout, which certainly seems the case here.
‘I just want you to know you are a privilege to work with, and I adore you, and I am speaking on behalf of all of us here,’ said Ripa, a remark which was met with enthusiastic applause from the studio audience.
‘I know what an easy, professional, great person you are and I feel very, very lucky to work with you each and every day.’
She then added: ‘You are happiness.’
