Katy Perry is about to air her dirty laundry.
The singer has reportedly signed a $2 million book deal for an autobiography in which she is expected to address her divorce from Russell Brand and her new relationship with John Mayer, according to a report by Contact Music.
The chief aim of the book is said to be to rebuke anything negative Brand might have to say in any forthcoming release of his own, with a source saying: “Several publishers have been after Katy for a while. She decided to go ahead so fans don’t have a one-sided story when Russell publishes another Booky Wook.”
Perry has previously discussed her marriage to Brand, who she wed in October 2010 in a traditional Hindu ceremony, in her 3-D concert movie “Katy Perry: Part of Me,” where she revealed that Brand wasn’t willing to put in the time and travel required to keep the marriage strong.
