Readers of our beauty section already know we’re big fans of the Joico hair products, especially the Blonde Line of shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and Brightening Veil. So we were excited to try their new ‘Luster Lock’ ($13.) which claims to lock in color, nourish the hair to make it twice as strong, provide heat styling and UV protection, PLUS create shine.
That’s a lot to ask of one product. While we found it is an easy leave-in conditioner and protects our color from the sun’s rays, it gave our hair a dull, matte finish but worst of all was the scent …very perfumy like an old lady cologne.
We’re sticking with the Joico Brightening Veil($9 at Amazon) that works best for us in the sun and doesn’t dull the hair.
