All across the country, students took part in National School Walkout Wednesday to demand stricter gun laws.

Sparked by the Parkland school shooting, the young students have launched peaceful protests, online petitions, and visits to Washington legislators.

“This is not a matter of left versus right. This is a matter of public safety,” said Cate Whitman, a junior at LaGuardia High School in New York. “We’re all working together, which is something we haven’t seen from the adults in a very long time.”
Students in Washington chanted in front of the White House: “We want change!”
“History has its EYES on you.”
