China just chastised US President-elect Donald Trump for using Twitter to conduct international diplomacy, as he did in this recent tweet:

China has been taking out massive amounts of money & wealth from the U.S. in totally one-sided trade, but won’t help with North Korea. Nice!

The Man-who-would-be-King, Trump has earned a reputation for making wild statements on Twitter on everything from Saturday Night Live to foreign policy, even if it contradicts US policies. that often depart from long-standing US policies .

On a Chinese official news site a commentary read:
“The obsession with ‘Twitter diplomacy’ is undesirable,” said the bylined, adding, “It is a commonly accepted that diplomacy is not a child’s game — and even less is it business dealing. As former United States Secretary of State [Madeleine] Albright said, Twitter should not be a tool for foreign policy,” the commentary, which was published this week, said.
Albright served under former President Bill Clinton and was a vocal supporter of Trump’s democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
