If you’ve ever watched a YouTube video on how to do your make-up, fashion a look, or follow beauty bloggers online, consider yourself ‘Generation Connected.”
To celebrate the top digital fashion and beauty influencers – and their fans — BeautyCon hosted their third-annual summit in partnership with ELLE at the LA Mart this last weekend.
Hundreds of content creators—professional beauty gurus, editors, celebrities, bloggers and YouTube personalities—come together to network, discuss the future of online media, and interact with their fans. More than 6,000 of those fans gathered at the LA Mart to participate in interactive presentations, attend panels, create content, engage with a variety of top brands, shop, play games, and interact with some of the most popular fashion and beauty icons in the digital space.
For the brands that participated, it was a perfect way to connect with this tech savy and socially connected group. NYX Cosmetics, American Apparel, Uberbliss, Tarte Cosmetics, Salon Perfect, Crown Brushes, Lola V, The Platform, Insta Brand, The Hunt, Covergirl, Luster White, Shea Moisture, Bellami Hair, Cult Gaia, Stila, Too Faced, Mr. Kate, StyleHaul, were just a few of the brands that took advantage of the convention.
One of the highlights was UK band Rixton’s performance (you know them from their hit single, ‘Me and My Broken Heart.’) A highlight panel was the ‘Hi Haters, Bye Haters’ Hosted by Christina Topacio, AllieMarieEvans, Brittny Gastineau, Teala Dunn, Gabi Gregg, Allison McNamara, MayBabyTumbler , Kate Albrecht, Missy Lynn.
The irrepressible Kelly Osborne kept the day moving and entertaining, though she might want to heed some of the advice we heard that day about less is more, certainly when it comes to her purple hair, which gets shorter by the day! Love the purple, tho Kel.
