In typical Trump manner, the President appeared to throw doubt on Giuliani, saying his latest hire was still trying ‘to get his facts straight.’

‘Rudy is a great guy but he just started a day ago,’ Trump said, praising Giuliani for ‘working hard, learning the subject.’

‘Rudy knows it’s a witch hunt. He started yesterday. He’s getting his facts straight. He’s a great guy,’ Trump said.

But then added:

‘We’re not changing any stories,’ he said. ‘Take a look at what I said.’

In a final volley : ‘This country is right now running so strong, and to be bringing up that kind of c**p, and to be bringing up witch hunt all the time, that’s all you want to talk about.’

By witchhunt, he is, of course, referring to the scandal with Stormy Daniels and the $130,000 payout to the porn star by his personal lawyer, which, up until three days ago, the President denied any knowledge of.

We know, it’s hard to keep up when the President changes his story every week.
