A bevy of stars came together at the London hotel in West Hollywood last night to celebrate an architectural marvel – the Battersea Power station development in London. Famous for it’s starring role on the cover of Pink Floyd’s ‘Animals’ (you know, the one with the pig) the power station is now a 42 acre community of offices, homes, shops, cafe and 18 acres of park.
Kate Beckinsale, Jared Harris, Aidan Turner, Hayley Hasselhoff, Mauricio Umansky, Billy Rose, JoAnn Hilton (who arrived with famed surgeon Dr. McCoy Moretz, father to actress Chloe Moretz’s), Robbie Rogers, Taylor Jacobson toasted the project with the CEO of Battersea Power Station Rob Tincknell, and British Consul General Chris O’Connor at the launch of its Global Tour at The London Hotel.
Kate Beckinsale who stunned in Zimmermann white cut-out dress paired with nude Christian Louboutin heels, joked on the carpet that she was very interested in the project and that if ‘Angeleno’s would bring the weather to London, she’d live there full time.”
But even with all the glittery stars in attendance, the real attraction was the model of the Battersea development. Developers hope to convince A-listers to purchase the apartments, many of which have a view of the Thames. Reportedly, Sting has already snapped one up. So if you’re sitting on an extra million — or 3M for a 4 bedroom – a prime London address could be yours. Cheers!
