Emmy’s week is here and we have an insider look at what it takes to get your hair Emmy Red Carpet ready. Kusco-Murphy invited us into the exclusive Kim Vo salon in Beverly Hills, located inside the luxurious Montage hotel, where Celebrity stylist Mika Fowler met us for a complete Red Carpet ready hair makeover.
Leading us into the style room we underwent a full shampoo and conditioner treatment followed by a glass of champagne for all our hard work so far. Celeb secret: no look is complete without a glass of champagne. Leading us back into the styling area Mika gave us a stellar blow out with Kusco-Murpy’s lavender cream. The lavender cream smells like a dream and is the perfect lightweight conditioner to keep your hair shiny and with plenty of bounce when you head out for your day. Now the style: As the Emmy’s are two days away we asked Mika what style’s we would see most this season on the Red Carpet.
You can expect a lot of center parts; the ninety’s are back and not just in clothing. Mika gave us a slightly off center, center part with loose curls creating the perfect red carpet look. To keep the flyaways at bay she used Kusco-Murphy’s bee wax which smells like cinnamon and works like a charm.
Oliva Wilde is a longtime client of Mika talents and Kusco-Murphy’s products. Also favoring a center part with soft bohemian waves here is how to get Olivia’s look:
Step 1: Spray dry leave in all over wet/damp hair
Step 2: Gently blow dry using a dry brush
Step 3 Apply dime size amount of Beach hair into the palm of your hands and work it throughout your hair
Step 4: Use a medium size curling iron to create the soft waves. Going away from you face.
Step 5: For the final touch, apply a quarter size of Alley paste on your fingers and finger through the ends of the hair area to add smoothness and texture.
Even id you’re not walking the Red Carpet this Sunday, you can win all the products used here and re-create your own Emmy hair. Just send us a comment (below) and you’ll be automatically entered. Because we’re always thinking of you…
