We can’t remember the last time this happened in Hollywood. Director Ridley Scott announced on Wednesday that he is removing Kevin Spacey from a finished movie, “All the Money in the World,” and refilm scenes with a substitute actor.

Not only is the film completely in the can, but Sony pics is still planning a Dec. 22nd release date. The film, which features Spacey as the reclusive oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, will be re-shot with Christopher Plummer stepping into the role.

The House of Cards is toppling at record speed.

Christopher Plummer will take on Kevin Spacey’s role in the film.
